I see many patients of flat foot in clinic of which many are kids. Kids are important because that’s the best time to treat flat foot as age progresses there will be permanent changes in the joint. We are not prepared as parents to accept when our kids complain of foot pain. Gradually this pain becomes progressive and intense. The problem with flat foot is it is progressive and we need to restrict its progress at an early age. What Causes Flat Feet? Flat feet can develop for various reasons, including genetic factors, injuries, or general wear and tear over time. For some individuals, flat feet are congenital, appearing naturally and often noticeable during childhood. However, flat feet may also result from tendon weakness, arthritis, or the natural aging process, which gradually reduces the arch’s height.
